Richard Allen has co-founded multiple successful companies in medical technology markets, including four that are on or part of the Nasdaq: RTI Surgical, Axogen, ViewRay, and OrthoHelix. Richard’s background also extends to mechanical engineering, electronics, and manufacturing, including co-founding BluAzu, the company behind the Scout™ GPS tracking system, and co-founding with Jamie Grooms and Lou Kessler, Chaologix, with computer chip security technology. Richard has held executive leadership roles with Sabine, Pulstar, and Heat-Pipe Technologies. His medical technology experience includes RTIX, OrthoHelix, Optima Neuroscience, Axogen, ViewRay, and Xhale.
Richard serves on several boards. He has two degrees from the University of Florida, is a CPA, and co-authored Vital Business Secrets for Young & Growing Companies. One of his most notable accomplishments was co-founding Sustainable Cambodia, a nonprofit with more than 20 schools in rural Cambodia.
